This past week we had some extremely great weather! The girls and I took advantage of that and spent almost the whole day both this past Thursday and Friday outside! We had a couple of picnics, played ball, and went to the park. It was so nice!! Although we are in an ice storm warning now, with this Texas weather I am sure we will be outside playing in a few days!

I know that I have not stayed on top of this blog thing but you must know that the holidays are tremendously busy for us!! The month of December was total chaos! From the first week of the month having a very sick Zoe to graduations to Liv's choir program to graduations to a bad car accident to Liv's school program to a stomach bug that attacked Terry and I to Christmas to New Years and EVERYTHING in between.......what a very hectic month!! It seemed like my favorite time of year was very hard to enjoy!
December 13 made it that way when a kid ran a red light and nailed us in the side while I was making a left hand turn. It wasn't just me that the kid had no regard for but also my sister-in-law who was 7 weeks pregnant at that time, my 2 1/2 yr old neice, Zoe, Liv, and my mom. God was absolutely watching out for us that day seeing that we all walked away with only bumps and bruises even though it totalled out my suburban. The stresses of having a paid off truck totalled and looking to add another car payment to the budget were all I could think about! God has blessed us though and it has all worked out just as He promises!
Christmas did turn out to be a very wonderful time for us! We started on Christmas Eve morning when we open presents at my moms house! All Liv had begged for from Santa for well over a month was a "potty baby" that sits on her potty and then lifts her hands in praises that she "tt in the potty!!" To save ourselves from seperating 3 girls in an argument....Liv,Zoe, and my neice all 3 got their very own potty baby! They got so much stuff I think that it took the majority of the day undoing those twisty ties in the packages and putting stuff together! We spent the day at moms and then went to my Grandaddy and Grandmothers house that night for supper and a visit from Santa. Liv was the only one who liked him though so he didn't stay long. We read the Christmas story and sang Happy Birthday to Jesus before the girls opened more presents and then headed back to moms to spend the night.
We went to Terry's parents house for Christmas Day. The girls found more presents from Santa and enjoyed playing with their cousins. It was a whirlwind of 2 days but we had a great time!
December 30 was a great day too!! I became an aunt for the 5th time but this time to a nephew!! We are so excited about this baby boy but can see that he is in BIG trouble with all of these girls. See...counting all the cousins.....on my side we have 6 girls and on Terrys side there are 8!! You can see why we fear for the little guy!!
New Year's was pretty uneventful. When you have kids you can't really go do to much! We stayed at moms and played her new Wii system. It was good just to stay in and have that time together.
We all made it home finally this past Saturday after spending almost a full month in Oklahoma. It feels really good to be home and get back into the routine of things. If I can just get my kids well from a nagging cough we will all be good!!
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years!
